How can something that we need so desperately cause so much damage? Even if you are not faced with the devastation that a broken water pipe can bring, care should be taken anytime you mix water and wood. While in your kitchen, take note of the following ways water can damage your cabinets. When you rinse your dishes off before loading the dishwasher do you then swing the dishes out of the sink into your dishwasher, thus scattering water on your cabinets? How about when you wash your hands at your sink. Do you then open a drawer and pull out a dry towel with wet hands, scattering water down the front of the drawer? A few drops won't look like much in the beginning, but the continued wear of water on your cabinets can create discoloration of your custom cabinet finish. So, just keep in mind those little drops of water. And if they do appear, dry them up quickly. This will help to keep your cabinets looking beautiful for many years to come.

Re: Water, Water everywhere!
that is so true. Over time the front of our cabinets below our sink have started to loose the finish and become a dull white color at the tops. Excellent topic to cover
